Alexander Chaplinskiy, pianist and conductor. (born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia)
In his homeland he graduated from Glinka Choral College and Saint-Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory of Music, worked as a chorus master and accompanist in Mikhailovsky Theater, Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory and Saint-Petersburg University. As a conductor, he led the Russian Premiere of Steve Reich’s ‘Eight Lines’ and ‘Tehillim’ in Saint-Petersburg Philarmony in 2008.
Since 2017 Alexander has worked with ‘The Italian Opera Company’ (New York) as a music director.
In 2020 Mr. Chaplinskiy joined the ‘Spotlight Artists Management and Production’ (New York) as an artistic advisor, coach, pianist and accompanist.
Alexander Chaplinskiy actively stands with Ukrainians in their fighting for their country. Since the war began, he was an important part of many charity events such as ‘Benefit Concert to support Ukraine’ in March, 2022 and ‘Ukrainian Anthology’ in September, 2022 by ‘Spotlight Artists Management and Production’ featured on ‘Operawire’ and more.
