About Artist
Yekaterina Baguta, was born on February 2nd, 1989 in the city of Shostka, Sumy region, north-eastern Ukraine. In 2003 she graduated from the Shostka Children’s Art School, art department.

In 2009, she enrolled in Boris Grinchenko University of Kiev pursuing a degree in Fine Arts, and by 2012 she obtained a higher education and a qualification as a teacher of fine art, ethics and aesthetics.
Ekaterina is an open, positive and emotional person, and her work ethic reflects that, as she creates pieces in one go with an energetic rhythm . Working on a painting, she aims to pour all the emotions gripping her at that particular moment onto the canvas. She paints all her works in one sitting, so that the picture has a characteristic rhythm. Yekaterina doesn’t always pay attention to small details in her pictures, instead focusing on the work as a whole, and only emphasizing the main elements with certain color or textural accents. Her creative process includes many genres: portrait, landscape, animal paintings , figurative and decorative work using modeling paste. She likes to depict various subjects in her works, but one that she is most passionate about is water. Water motifs, rainy landscapes, stormy seas, or tranquil water surface – she loves to paint water all of its states.
Painting for Yekaterina is not just a hobby, it is a part of her soul that she puts into each one of her works. The paintings reflect her inner world, revealing how diverse and positive it is. Creating a new piece, she feels an incredible surge of energy, vivacity, and satisfaction, which in turn inspires her to create more. Hence, it is evident that painting is an integral part of her life to which she devots all her free time. But she doesn’t stop there: she continuously explores different ways of expression, development, and self-improvement. She wants the audience to not only experience aesthetic enjoyment from her artworks but to get charged by positivity as well.
