Biography 

Member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, member of the Russian Artists’ Union.

Oleg (Alik) Kadinsky was born in 1954 in Leningrad. He became interested in photography during his school years. In that time he studied in photo studio, the head of which was a real photographer TASS.

His first practice was a photojournalist in the army, at a construction site of the Baikal-Amur Mainline, where Alik works as newspaper reporter.

After army, 15 years, since 1972, Alik worked in large-scale power. Often, he had been approached with a request to make a photo for the honor boards. So Alik has the skills to make professional photo portrait.

10 years, since 1987. Alik has lived in Germany. He traveled a lot, seen a lot of countries and cities. And he never parted with a camera.

In 2003, he received an invitation to work at the studio “Lenfilm”, where he worked as a photographer, and also as  producer assistant, and in recent years – director of scenery and props brunch.

The main character Alik’s works – peoples always . Peoples in a different situation, in the present, past and future.

Now Alik lives in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and he not part with a camera.

Alik Kadinsky is the creator of the photo cycle’s set – «Walking», «On the other side of the film», «iPhone job», «Winter in the Florida», «Rock», «Unique Cleveland» etc.
